In-Theater Fuel Efficiency
Under a research contract with the Office of Naval Research, ZEUS will achieve the following to improve fuel efficiency for the HMMWV:
Measure in-field fuel usage under varying conditions
Compile a list of candidate fuel saving systems
Create a computer model to simulate fuel usage performance
Select potential fuel saving systems, install on a HMMWV and measure fuel usage results

Joint
Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV)
Advanced Suspension Design
ZEUS is
currently designing an advanced suspension system to
support the
congressionally mandated development of the JLTV (the HMMWV replacement).
Using a proprietary active suspension design, the computer-controlled system
enables variable ride height and spring rate while allowing force control at each wheel.
The system automatically adjusts to an optimum suspension, regardless of operating weight
or terrain, to deliver a reliably stable handling characteristic and consistent ride.
